Maison Dave
THE ABANDONED HOUSE IN BELGIUM
‘Maison Dave’ is an old and abandoned farmhouse in the center of Wezemaal, a small village in Belgium. Eventually, the old house was demolished in 2020 after 18 years of abandonment.
The farm was left when the old man who lived here moved to a house for the elderly. The owner donated the house to the Flemish League against Cancer at the time. But they haven’t done anything with it in all those years. Meanwhile, it became a hotspot for domestic and foreign amateur photographers.
I made these photos during my visit to ‘Maison Dave’ in 2013. Eventually, the house was demolished in 2020. Follow this link for more abandoned houses across Europe.
