‘Autobus Brainois’ are the workshops of a bus company in Braine-le-Comte, Belgium. Busses were maintained and repaired here.
This used to be the homebase of the local bus company. The company started in 1947. After a merge, the buses were transferred to ‘Senne Autobus’ in 1991. In 2007 the company looses its contract with the ‘Société Régionale Wallonne du Transport’. This SRWT is responsible for the supervision, strategic planning and marketing of a group of regional public transport companies.
Today the buildings are empty and trashed. The left behind busses found their final bus stop. Two months after my visit the busses were set on fire. After a second fire in 2018 the buildings were demolished. I visited ‘Autobus Brainois’ in 2011. Follow this link for more transport related urbex locations.
