There is not much information about this castle. It was built in 1870 by Julius d’Exaerde, a wealthy man that later became the mayor of a small town near Brussels. In 1900 he died and the castle was used as a boarding school for some time.

The building is now very trashed. Because you can just walk in this place everything is stolen or trashed. The floors are filled with pigeon shit and the walls with graffiti. Let’s hope the renovation plans from a couple of years ago will be accomplished soon before it’s too late.
